Far Away Thoughts c1911 by English Painter John William Godward (1861 - 1922), who's career spanned the end of the Neo-Classical era. He also painted in the Symbolism, Aestheticism and Academic Art Movement Styles
This is another version of Far Away Thoughts that Godward made 19 years after another piece he created in 1892.
This one though is strikingly different and shows a raven haired beauty sitting outside on a wooden chair on a cushion and leopard skin; in what may be considered a marble porch, made up of white and green speckled stone with a tree behind her.
She is wearing a violet dress with deep orange wrap around her waist; and she is stitching a wine red gown of some sort.
In the background we see a calm sky blue ocean with two sail boats in the distance as well as a mountain and billowing clouds.
