For those who don't know Lillian Diana Gish was an American Actress of stage, screen, television and theater whos's career spanned 75 years, starting in 1912 with silent film shorts and ending in 1987 with the film The Whales of August' playing opposite Bette Davis (1908 - 1989) another female screen legend.
Lillian Gish was called "The First Lady Of American Cinema" and is credited with pioneering the fundamental film performance techniques.
