Portrait Of A Young Lady c1830 by French Painter Louis Hersent (1777 - 1860).

This is a portrait of a young lady in a blue room, sitting on a red couch with gold accents and a swan carving at the front of the armrest of the couch.

She is resting her head on her right hand as her elbow is supported by the armrest of the couch; as she looks at the viewer wearing a white lace dress with satin gold wrist bands and a sash of the same color; while holding a small bouquet of blue flowers in her left hand that is resting on her lap.

To her right is a table positioned near an open window with a tied off curtain that overlooks a lush green forest. The table is covered with a blue tablecloth that is finished in gold colored tassels, on which an open book has been placed faced down, alongside a vase with another bouquet of very colorful flowers and what appears to be a white silk scarf.
