The Baron de Besenval in his Salon de Compagnie c1791 by French Painter Henri-Pierre Danloux (1753 - 1809) and draftsman who was influenced by the fashionable British portrait painters of the time, such as Thomas Lawrence (1769–1830), John Hoppner (1758–1810), and George Romney (1734–1802).
