Description
The Beautiful Fountain by Czech Painter Anton Ebert (1845 - 1896), a portrait artist of women and children in period costume as well as landscapes.
This is a Spring painting of a group of people visiting and relaxing at the Beautiful Fountain pavillion designed by court architect Isidore Canevale (1730 - 1786) located in the Schönbrunn Palace Park in Hietzing, Vienna; which replaced an older fountain house built by the court gardener Steckhoven.
The beautiful fountain comprises the sculpture of the Spring Nymph Egeria that was created by Johann Wilhelm Beyer (1725 - 1796), where she sits on a shell basin holding a vase through which spring water flows.
This is a retouched digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image.
