Thanks Ben. I stated of with the fractal flare; which I modified with a grey scale gradient, adjusting it till I obtained a metallic like look. The flare in the emblem which I created as object cutouts is the same flare just in black and white. The background symbol is the flare and GOT text I believe or maybe my A-Synchronous piece fed through a mirror filter. For the main text I created cutout duplicates and applied the radial blur filter in Adobe Photo Elements 7. This was then duplicated about 9 times so that it could be clearly seen. The Particle effect use the dissolve property with an applied Gaussian Blur filter. Then it's just placement and so perspective changes to break up the flat look of the Engineering Emblem, to which I also added a slight shadow.
