In this scene of ancient scene we find Queen Cleopatra ruler of Egypt with a leopard seated between her and a servant that is fanning her to keep her cool, looking on while her servant at her command administers poison to a slave.
Cleopatra calmly watches the effects the poison has on the slave as he writhes in agony, while another dead slave is carried away as so much trash by two pf her palace guards.
