Archduchess Maria Antonia of Austria (1755 - 1793), the later Queen Marie Antoinette of France c1769 by French Painter Joseph Ducreux (1735 - 1802) a successful Portratist, Pastelist, Minaturist and Engraver at the court of Louis XVI of France.
Archduchess Maria Antonia of Austria was the penultimate child and youngest daughter of Empress Maria Theresa and Emperor Francis I.
At age 14 (1770) she became the dauphine of France upon her marriage to Louis-Auguste heir apparent to the French Throne. When he ascended the throne on May 10, 1774 as King Louis XVI she became Queen of France.
