Description
Portret Van Een Bebaarde Man or Portrait of a Bearded Man (between 1716 and 1761) by Dutch Engraver Pieter Tanjé (1706 - 1761), after a painting by Dutch Artist Rembrandt van Rijn, with intermediary work done by French Draughtsman and Sculptor Pierre Hutin (1723 - 1763).
This is an impressive engraving that was created from a painting from the Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn.
It depicts a scholarly gentleman with a full beard dressed in a hat and cloak, with his right hand gloved which is also holding the glove of his left hand.
He is wearing a chained jeweled medallion across his chest, while in his left hand he is holding some sort of stick as he sits in a stone chair.
Beneath the engraving is crest, and on either end of it in Italian an explanation of the pieces and those involved in its creation.
This is a retouched digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image.
