Description
Seven Putti Carrying A Garland Of Fruit c1780-87 by German Engraver William Dickinson (1758 - 1787) from a painting by Flemish Painter Peter Paul Rubens (1577 - 1640)
This is a charming engraving of seven chubby male children referred to as putti, that often have wings even though these do not; carrying a very large amount fruit and flowers along a hillside, with a bit of difficulty as some of it falls to the ground in their struggle to get it to the valley below.
Just behind them is cliff with trees and in the distant landscape we can see more trees and a mountain range with clouds overhead.
This is a retouched digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image.
